Well, at least you can get printed copies of my paper (when they arrive). That one got pictures of spawning and development (in color, I think), which are the first for an akysid.

are they going to give you PDF or can you get extra copies? or perhaps you scan the colour plates for us?

No, I get only printed copies (which are not cheap). Since it takes less work for me to mail out printed copies than to scan and make a pdf (which is something I only do for papers that I run out of printed copies of), I ain't doing any scanning.

Here is a picture of Akysis vespa, provided by my friend Achim Werckenthin (who provided the spawning pictures and data in the description).

Nice catfish.....

Hope can get the pdf file of all the species described for free, but then nobody will buy that journal.

I still haven't gotten any printed copies of the Akysis vespa paper, so the pdf is available here (http://www-personal.umich.edu/~heokheen/Ng&Kottelat2004.pdf).

The A. vespa is available in the hobby once in a while. Very nice little fish indeed. Finally it has got a name.
