Managed to get the correct term for these accessories from Benny.;)
My initial thought was that these will make it easier for me to remove the eheim tubes for cleaning purpose. But now I'm having second thoughts.
Any feedback from users here?

In what way getting 2nd tots ? Its not as easy to use as proclaimed ?
I tot it was just a matter of pouring water down it to fill up the inlet tube on startup ?

I first read about these months ago, and have forgotten exactly what they're for.
I thought it'll be good for me if I need to disconnect the tubes for cleaning.
Then I spoke to Benny, and it seems these are more for start-up.
Since I got a 2028 (with self-priming), then I won't need these for start-up purpose.:p
Any other advantages, other than cleaning-purpose? Cos I don't think I'll be cleaning the tubes so often.:D

i find that my 2026's priming function stinks. I have to pour some water into the canister to start. might as well get a 2217. bigger, better and cheaper.
My only gripe on the priming feature of the 2026 is sometimes its rather hard to push the pump action down for the first few goes...

So far I have not had the problem with 2026. But after looking at the postings here, I will keep an eye on it. Has anyone encouter the same problem with 2028?
:D
Hey Coryfav, I'm using 1 for my 2222. Quite easy 4 start up. I connected it 2 my surface skimmer.

Thanks, BFG. Now that I know that these sets are mainly for start-up, don't think I'll look at it now. Will look into getting pairs of double-tap connectors or quick-release couplings instead.
Cheers!

coryfav, the 2026/28 has a built-in quick release connector rite? ... the previous doubletap connectors were needed cos the old eheim filters did not have this feature, so now it inbuilt to the 2026/28 liao :)

Yeah, but I'm thinking more on the ease of removing the rainbar and inlet pipe when I need to clean them.
Anyway, was in C328 during lunchtime, got frightened by the size of the connectors. Plan scrapped!:p
(Hey, I found out something interesting. While in C328, with no one wanting to give way when you move round, try coughing or clearing your thoat...:whisper: . Worked for me, instant result, when my throat was ticklish and I coughed!)

Who never give way to our dearest cory lady???!!!  :p But frankly, C328 is way too overcrowded. The tanks and the space. I always get "morrested " when i go there:cool:
Hahaa if you go in with gas mask, you can get any thing in C328 for free ... cos shopkeepers also run liao!!! :p :D :D

As I was telling Fav earlier, I bought a set when I first came out and got rid of it quite soon. More trouble than it's worth if you are using the Eheim Pro II series.

I was out of the place in 5 minutes or less, today, that my colleagues were very shocked that they needn't call to chase me!:D
Anyway, with the virus prob, you can hardly see many people hanging around in C328 these days.

Benny, looks like you've tried most of the newly-introduced stuff around!:p

I am a newbie. So gotta try and see for myself as well as learn from you guys. Don't forget, to date, I have only 6 months of aquatic experience.
Coryfav, try sneezing at C328! Hold a wet tissue too. Carry a packet of tissue on your other hand. Confirm people sure give way.:D
Haha u people , playing with other's minds :p
Anyway's back to the topic at hand.
If you're using a Pro 2 series , you dun need the Eheim Priming Aid set :)

One more thing to note. If you are interested in the installation set 1 and 2, you need to specify the size. There are two types to cater for the two most common hose sizes.
Cheers,
Yep , 12/16 and 16/22 ( standard Eheim Tube diameters )
