not really alot of space for medium considering the price difference.. :p

They are quite small when compared to the Ehiem Liberty 100. The motor is also smaller. Anyways the price is cheap for a quarantine tank and the like. :D

do you think its effective or should i save up for liberty instead ?

Get Liberty, route. Well can always check if any 2nd hand available.
Liberty will offer more space inside to house more medium.
But then again if the tank is small as yours and fish load so little , not really neccessary imo.
Unless you decide to put in too much fish , maybe try a canister in your 1ft tank hahaha :D

ok went to c328 this morning and bought the filter as i couldn't wait any longer...
cost me $9 , took me a few minutes to get it started and running and MAN IS IT NOISY! (wonder how i'm gona sleep tonight).
the flowrate itself is pathetic... (at least better than a bubble filter... i think)...
gona get an internal one for my cory tank... not worth the money , i rather spend it on a dolphin F-800 or something.. at least with a better flowrate...

roy, there's another bigger model from Alife. that one costs roughly about $18. i got the slightly larger model. forgot the name but it cost me $22. not bad i think, flowrate's quite okay. i think the $18 model would be better for a 1ft tank. flowrate's much slower but manageable for a 1ft. both Alife and UP have hang-on filters but i think Alife's better. been using some Alife powerheads with very good results.

c328 still has stock of the $18 model. and i think they restocked on the small $9 Alife and $10 UP filters.
