Mr Chan fr Nature has come out with a diy external co2 reactor, maybe u can go down n take a look to see whether it is suitable or not. I dun think there is any on display so u just ask fr him directly. I believe it would be gd to have a look how it is work b4 making the decisionto get the more expensive one or the one fr Nature will do. :)

Yes it is ard $42 as i had asked him quite some time ago. Maybe u can confirm this tomolo. :)
Chan has a few external reactor running on a few of his display. Just ask him 2 show you. Me bought 1 from hin for less than $70. No need 2 get branded ones coz for their price, u can get 3 of Chan's reactor! Just my opinion though.

Nice meeting u! Maybe u can try first and then give us a review whether it is gd to recommend others. :)
I've been using the Ext Reactor from Chan for a few weeks now.
Pretty good. CO2 is completely dissolved, no tiny bubbles escaping into the tank. I put it in the cabinet so no algae growth. Also allows me to install the reactor before I split the output pipe thus allowing a better distribution of CO2 in a 6ft tank.
I think in general ext reactors have more pros than cons as compared to the internal one...only con I personally feel is the cost as compared to an int one.
But the pros include no space taken up in tank which also allows for better looking tank without the reactor at a corner of the tank.
Also allows for easier setting up , and moreover normally has a larger capacity , can even be used after the filtration as a secondary unit with added media :)
