I have the following equipments unused:

One 12X7X9 inch Fiveplan fiber glass tank
One 2X1X1 feet Pentas fiber glass tank
One black colour 3D rockwall styrofoam background for above

One OTTOTO Fluidized Bed Filter with some filter media
One small sized PF internal filter green colour
200 bioballs

One 2 ft Strauss light with a 20 watt pink tube
Some light diffusers

One 100 watt heater
One Thermometer

One small piece of petrified wood
About 10 kg of coral chips
Few pieces of large size granite pebble, like cobblestones
About 5 kg of mixed pebbles of assorted colours, yellow, green, orange, and black
About 1 kg of white limestone chip gravel
About 1 kg of red color pebbles mixed with some bigger pieces of the same pebbles.

What can I do with all these extra equipments? If I want a low maintainance plant tank to keep some angelfish and barbs, what are the equipments I can use and what more need to get?

Basically the full setup is there already , just add fish BUT since filtration isnt all that great , must really control the fish quantity in the tank as well as regular water changes as usual LOL :)

I wonder if I can utilise the FBF by adding a small OTTOTO internal filter. The main problem is getting my mother's approval, because I mentioned to her before but she nags abit, and I also think the house no space liao, very dilema.

How?

Can I do without CO2 injection? Dont want to buy CO2 tank and dont want to have to keep mixing yeast and other messies every now and then.

The fishes breath and also release CO2 right? Same as humans? Like that got CO2 liao loh? Just put more fishes and improve filteration? (Use the FBF)

not sure if the otto int filter has an output enuff to get the FBF going...but as long as its not too strong...DONT want a repeat of past events ,no ? :D

Actually if not going for cylinder solution , do the DIY method then.
Its not that much a hassle considering you only need to do it perhaps once a month , maybe slightly longer , depending on your mixture as well as considering your size of your tank isnt all that big either.

Moreover its very cost efficient :D

I see, anyway now no mood, have to concentrate on my cichlid first.

Hehe make one big DIY CO2, use those big big tub of weight gainer powder containers. Maybe can last 6 months.
