Hi,
anyone can share on how to take a good pic of a fish in a tank(not in the net and out of water) :stupid:
SLR or digital camera. Models,
Anyone can share?
Believe there will be a lot of member here willing to learn.

to put it simply, you need lots of light. Aquarium light is not effective enough to get good quality picture. Either use strong aquarium light and push up the ISO on your cam and accept the graininess, or switch over to flash. You will need flash that is at an angle from your camera to avoid glass reflection, so your camera need an external flash capability.
Also your cam should have full manual setting because unless it's an SLR, most autofocus cannot keep up with the fishes. If it is an SLR, you will have full manual :)
But you don't necessarily need an SLR, I am doing quite alright with a G5.
