what i am going to do is to take out all the wool in the top boxes, wash and soak them in boiling water and reuse them... best idea??

Hmm but that way your BB would die off .....

the thing is if you look at the OH filter, the wool is not submerged, its always made damp by the constant flow of the water. therefore this is an excellent breeding bed for them, furthermore got waste material and uneaten food for them to feast on.

for my OH, if you see from the gallery, its stackable, the problems lies in the top most layer of wool, what i gonna do is to just clear the topmost layer, give it a good scrub and make sure i kill off every single SOB maggots inside there with hot water. BBs are not affected in the media in the below boxes.

for those matured flies that are elsewhere at the ceiling of the room, just have to vacuum them!

and yah, gonna cover/tape up all the holes in the OH also.

i'll keep you guys updated in case any of you faces the same prob!
