They are fossil rocks francis, got them from h20 .. for $3/kg
But I think I took all the small ones liao haha

Nice setup, good to know that you're putting in a lot of effort in decorating your tank and that you're also taking care of the Cacs I sold to you.

hehe thanks, desperately trying to get my friends to pay me back the $ they owe so i can buy the setup i need to add plants inside

Currently a lot of white algae is growing on the wood, my attempts at boiling have reaped no rewards the algae seem to grow back .... please advice

I dun think it is white algae, more like fungus and it will take a while for them to disappear. :)

actually dunnid plants.. throw in some ketapang will look like natural apisto biotope..
if wan plants, get all the amazon type..
den u will get a fierce looking apisto amazon tank.. :D :D

I think the fossil rocks are called petrified wood. Looks like wood, shape of wood, but is a rock. Essentially a piece of wood, until the sea floods the whole forest and the trees died and fallen and buried, minerals from sea water enter the wood and eventually took over the shape of the wood and the real wood decayed away long time again. Some of these stuff are considered collector's items, some with rare shapes and unique mineral contents real expensive. Takes millions of years to turn into a petrified wood. But those we bought for aquarium are the cheap common types I think.
Cool rocks. Even nicer driftwoods. Or are they bogwoods?
With Amazon plants your tank will be stunning!!!

Thanks for your kind comments leafhorn! hehe I was lucky to get this bogwood from h20.. looked for nails incase it was nailed together.. but it's one piece.

What are amazon plants guys? Can you give me some names so I could probably go find them.. ?
