Bagrus Dude, can recommend which German books to get for Sundaland fishes, anabantoids and cyprinids? Will go search both new and antiquarian Buchhandlungen when I there soon...
|
There are no useful German publications for Sundaland fishes (almost all of the useful ones are in English).
You might want to see if you can get "Die Fische der malayischen Halbinsel" by Georg Duncker (1904). That one has several original descriptions and a nice set of drawings. I got my copy from an online antiquarian bookseller in the Netherlands. |

HH, anything purely on killifish in your collection?
|
HH,do you have any book collection on freshwater fishes of Brunei?
|
Quote:
No, my book collection focuses on catfish and freshwater fish faunas. Except for a few books on other ostariophysan groups (characins, cyprinids and gymnotids). |

No, only because one has not been written yet. Lynne Parenti has a paper on the fishes of the Sungai Belait drainage published in the Brunei Museum Journal. I must go cucuk her for a copy. |
I think I got something about freshwater fishes at Belalong..not that taxanomy paper from Lynne Parenti.Show u guys later...
|
This one izzit?
Choy, S. C. & P. K. Chin, 1994. Freshwater fishes from the headwaters of the Belalong-Temburong River system, Brunei, Darussalam, Borneo. Raffles Bulletin of Zoology 42: 757-774. Sorry, I meant Belait, not Belalong in my earlier post. |
